Deuxième temps fort autour de l’ensemble coréen TIMF, avec ce soir une rencontre exceptionnelle avec Linea. Les deux ensembles interprètent en commun la pièce de Younghi Pagh-Paan, figure de la scène coréenne tout comme Isang Yun et Unsik Chin. Enfin, jeune création avec Hyun-Wha Cho et Seunghyun Yun qui rend hommage à Messiaen dans une belle rencontre entre la musique française et coréenne.

| Second moment dedicated to Ensemble TIMF who will offer a unique performance with Linea tonight. The two ensembles will play a piece by Younghi Pagh-Paan, a figure in Korean music along with Isang Yun and Unsik Chin. Finally, the emphasis will be put on the young creation with works by Hyun-Wha Cho and Seunghyun Yun. The latter will pay a tribute to Messiaen with an amazing encounter between French and Korean music. |

Pour conclure ces deux soirées autour de TIMF, Champs Libres donne carte blanche à l’ensemble coréen, qui a choisi de nous présenter le travail de Nam-Kuk Kim. Ce compositeur est très représentatif des liens entre musique traditionnelle et contemporaine en Corée. Il compose en effet dans les deux registres.

Egalement musicien, il est un interprète reconnu de ajaeng, le violon traditionnel coréen, qu’il joue luimême ce soir dans quelques unes de ses compositions, tant traditionnelles que contemporaines.

| To bring to a close these two nights focused on Ensemble TIMF, the Korean ensemble has been given carte blanche and has chosen to perform some of Nam-Kuk Kim’s work. This composer epitomizes the links between traditional and contemporary music in Korea. He indeed composes for both genres. Also a musician, he is a renowned ajaeng player. The ajaeng is a traditional Korean violin, with which he will himself perform tonight in some of his pieces, traditional as well as contemporary ones.
On this occasion, the Korean Music Project and Ensemble Linea join them. A promising evening for an intercultural dialogue.|
